Universe Info. By Slide Show And Sky Gazing by Telescope:
The Universe is all of space and time and their contents, including planets, stars, galaxies, and all other forms of matter and energy. While the spatial size of the entire Universe is unknown, it is possible to measure the size of the observable universe, which is currently estimated to be 93 billion light years in diameter. In various multi verse hypotheses, a universe is one of many causally disconnected constituent parts of a larger multiverse, which itself comprises all of space and time and its contents. Universe is the name that we use to describe the collection of all the things that exist in space. It is made of many millions of millions of stars and planets and enormous clouds of gas separated by a gigantic empty space which is called the universe. We are not satisfied though we learn more and more about universe. To satisfy student’s curiosity related to universe, Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar held an universe info by slide show programme for the students of Triveni Tirth Utarbuniyadi Vidhyalaya Kalsar, Ta: Mahuva. Birds Introduction:
Birds are a unique group of animals with an incredible ability to fly. They are unique from all other animals because they have wings and feathers. The vast majority of bird species have the ability to fly, a skill made possible through the evolution of wings, feathers and a number of other adaptations. A number of birds however, such as penguins and ostriches, have lost the ability to fly due to evolving in an environment where flying wasn’t necessary. Their colour, behaviour and diversity are spectacular and it is difficult to find a more impressive sight than a bird gliding effortlessly on the wind. KRCSC organised a bird’s introduction programme for school and college level students. In this programme our expert explained about different species of birds, about their looks and also explained about their life. There were 1050 students benefited by this programme

Not only is it growing larger, but the edge of the universe is expanding at a faster and faster rate. Scientists think that the edge of the universe is expanding faster than the speed of light. We are not satisfied though we learn more and more about universe. To satisfy students curiosity related to universe Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar held a universe info by slide show programme for Kalsar Primary School students. Food Adulteration:
Among man’s everyday needs, food plays a major sustaining role. From the simple dish to the most elaborate haute cuisine, food preparation is as varied and rich as man’s taste. The lure of riches and general apathy towards mankind has led to adulterants being added to food from the simple stones in rice to the more harmful brick and boric powder. Adulteration is a legal term meaning that a food product fails to meet the legal standards. One form of adulteration is an addition of another substance to a food item in order to increase the quantity of the food item in raw form or prepared form, which may result in the loss of actual quality of food item. The products are marketed in a tricky manner, which is usually cheating the customers. However, FSSAI has made strong laws against adulteration; it's still not stopping the small vendors and businessmen to cheat customers. To create awareness about how to find that we have adulterated food or not Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organized a food adulteration Awareness Programme Various Schools of Bhavnagar District. In this programme we explained about meaning of adulterants, how can we find adulteration in our food item by using household chemicals & other materials and affect adulterants on our human body. Science Behind Superstition:
Although there is no single definition of superstition, it generally means a belief in supernatural forces – such as fate – the desire to influence unpredictable factors and a need to resolve uncertainty. In this way then, individual beliefs and experiences drive superstitions, which explains why they are generally irrational and often defy current scientific wisdom. They have been there from times immemorial. They have their roots in ignorance, blind faith, fear of the unknown, lack of scientific spirit and complexes. They reflect the weak side of mankind. Superstitions are found everywhere. They have a stronghold on man in spite of rapid advancement of modern science, technology and knowledge. They have been there from times immemorial. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organized Superstition Awareness program for Community level. In this Program our Expert explained about what is superstition, by different phenomena which are carrying out by our ancient time and explained scientific reasons with practical demonstration & also told the scientific reasons behind our rituals. Basic Science:
Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it. One should earn one's living by work of which one is sure one is capable. Only when we do not have to be accountable to anybody can we find joy in scientific endeavour. The first steps should be to teach boys and girls the habit of observation so its educative influence on the mind of students. This can be done using easy and natural study of science using different material objects that they can always seeing .Learning is the process of acquiring new or modifying existing knowledge, behaviours, skills, values, or preferences. For a science practical’s it is compulsory to use a laboratory. Due to some reason’s students are not able to visit a laboratory. So, students know about laboratory and lab instruments and to teach easy and realistic science Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organized Basic Science Programme for Tarun Vikas Shibir at Excel Crop Care Ltd.
