Celebration on World  Health Day:

World Health Day will be celebrated on 7 April, WHO is focusing the next World Health Day, on 7 April 2016, on diabetes. We organise Lecture and Recipe competition on important of pulses in our daily life and uses to control diabetes for Women’s. Our expert said that pulses are important for diabetic patient and also for women’s and children due to its nutritional value. In Recipe competition women’s prepared recipe in pulses.1st, 2nd and 3rd winner got prize in this competition. There was 40 beneficiary of this programme.

Summer Camp (Golden Tomorrow Primary School):

Vacation, entertainment time for all but it’s also for learn new things & update yourself. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organized Summer camp for primary and secondary school students in different school and also for cereals pulses students. There were various activities like making of Scientific toys, Maths Model making, Scientific movie show, making of space shuttle in this camp. Each Day Student was ready for challenge task and learns something new. There were 70 students enthusiastically participated in this Programme.

Each Day Student was ready for challenge task and learns something new. There were 50 students enthusiastically participated in this Programme.

Celebration of World Earth Day:

Earth Day is an annual event. We know it celebrated on April 22, on which day events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network, and celebrated in more than 192 countries each year. Numerous communities celebrate Earth Week, an entire week of activities focused on environmental issues. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre with Gujarat Pollution Control Board organized Drawing competition on the theme of Trees for the Earth at town hall, Bhavnagar. In this drawing competition Mr. R.R. Vyas (Regional Officer, GPCB), Dr. Bhaveshbhai Bharad (Chairman, Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar), Mr. Amulbhai Parmar ( Drawing Teacher), Mr. Ashokbhai Patel (Drawing Teacher) were there to motivate the students and also for prize distribution ceremony. In this competition students from Nursery to Old Citizen participated. We classified them in age wise 3 different groups. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Winner from each groups got cash prize respectively and every participant got certificate in this Drawing competition. There were 270 people participated in this drawing competition.

Secondary School Teacher Orientation Workshop for NCSC (District level @ Bhavnagar):

 KRCS worked on National Children Science Congress project since last 2 years. Every year Focal theme is announced for the NCSC. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre with Gujarat District Education Office organized teacher orientation workshop for secondary school teachers on 24th April, 2016 @ Majirajba School, Bhavnagar. In this programme Focal theme and sub theme explained by our Expert Dr. Nirajbhai Rajyaguru & Dr. I. R. Gadhavi (Marin Science Department, MKB University) and Mr. Bhaveshbhai Vyas (District Academic Coordinator) gave Detailed information of structure of NCSC and Dr. Bhaveshbhai Bharad explained haw to register online. Mr. Urveshbhai Joshi and Mr. C. B. Dabhi Education inspector from District Education Office were present in this workshop. There were 270 teachers participated in this workshop.

World Intellectual Property Day 2016:

Every April 26, we celebrate World Intellectual Property Day to learn about the role that intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyright) play in encouraging innovation and creativity. The event was established by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2000 to "raise awareness of how patents, copyright, trademarks and designs impact on daily life" and "to celebrate creativity, and the contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe". Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre held on lecture on the theme of Digital Creativity: Culture Reimagined. Our expert explained how a balanced and flexible intellectual property system helps ensure that those working in the creative sector and artists themselves are properly paid for their work, so they can keep creating. There were 50 students benefited by this programme

Vacation a time to learn something new. Bhavnagar Astronomy Club Meeting working under Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre plan to utilise this vacation time and for the meeting is organised at Ekta high school, Bhavnagar. In this meeting member of the BAC and also others students were came and plan a workshop for the students. There were 50 students participated in this meeting.

Vacation means update yourself with knowledge. Creative Chemistry Club Meeting working under Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised meeting for CCC member and also students from Chemistry and person interested in chemistry for update knowledge related to chemistry. In this meeting a workshop is finalised for the person interested in chemistry. . There were 50 students participated in this meeting.

Science Communicator Training Programme:

‘Training is the act of increasing the skills of an employee for doing a particular job’. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar held on Science Communicator Training on superstition awareness for their employee. Mr. Govindbhai Science Communicator from Junagadh community centre invited for the training. He explained meaning, types of the superstition. He also saw various experiment on it and share his experience with us. There were 15 persons benefited by this training programme.

Superstition Awareness Programme: 

Superstition is a peculiar type of traditional belief without the basis of reason. It is founded upon fear born of ignorance and mystery. A vast section of people are the victims of superstition for their ignorance even in those fields where the light of science has already reached. As we all know that only remedy of these superstitious blind beliefs is education and social awareness. So Kalyan Regional Community Science, Bhavnagar attempt to create awareness among the school & colleges students, community including various groups of women and rural people of remote areas by doing different superstitious experiments like Magical lighting, catch witchcraft in bottles & explained scientific reason behind this experiments. . In this month we carried out 1 community programme at Rampar. There were 250 villagers participated in this programme.

Youth Trekking Camp - 2016:

Trekking means adventure trip. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised Youth Trekking camp for students above 14 years. Sea Shoreline tracking, camp fire, Wild animal identification etc. activities were included in this camp. More than 240 people participated in this trekking camp.

Sky Gazing By Telescope:

Kalyan Regional Community Science Organized Chandra Darshan By Telescope Programme at Kuda Sea Shore. On this day students could saw surface of the Moon nearly by telescope. There were 110 people benefited by this programme.

On the 56th foundation day of Gujarat, Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised photo exhibition. Scientific movie show, Science- Maths model exhibition for general public. There were more than 300 people visited this exhition.

Training workshop on Transit Of Mercury (State level):

Rajkot Community Science centre, O.V Sheth organised state level training workshop on transit of mercury. In which members of various Science Centre invited to participate in this workshop. In this workshop expert explained about how transit became, how to saw TOM and many more information related to TOM. There were 5 members of Bhavnagar Astronomy club participated in this state level workshop.

Astronomy Summer Camp 2016:

Astronomy Summer camp organised by Bhavnagar Astronomy Club under Kalyan Regional Community Science.  In this summer camp there were many lectures on Astronomy, Hands on Activities in which solar clock, sun spot, clusters, angular & distant measurement carried out under the guidance of eminent scientists, engineers and amateur astronomers. There were 50 students participated in this workshop.

Sky Gazing By Telescope:

Kalyan Regional Community Science Organized Sky Gazing Programme at Kuda. Our expert Mr. Narendra Gor and Mr. Brijmohan Thakor explained about different Constellation, how to find cold star, how to find different Constellation to the students and how to saw them with help of telescope. There were 60 students benefited by this programme.

Chemistry Summer Camp 2016:

Chemistry Summer camp organised by Creative Chemistry Club under Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar.  In this camp various activities like seminar by students in which students gave detailed on their selected topic, various lectures by experts and chemistry quiz included. There were 70 students benefited by this programme.

Industrial Visit (Excel Crop Care):

Kalyan Regional Community Science, Bhavnagar organized industry visit for Member of Creative Chemistry Club. During this visit Mr. Virenbhai Pandya explained history of the industry, which type of product produce by industry. Then after we visited safety exhibition in which Mr. Imranbhai told that for every department they have different safety tools. We also saw how to test soil, type of soil, how to find different soil content with the help of different machine. Excel crop care ltd. was visited by 50 chemistry students from different Science collages.

Transit Of Mercury Awareness Champaign:

Gangajaliaya Carnival organised to celebrate 294 Foundation Day of Bhavnagar. In this Carnival many stall was there. There was a public awareness stall on Transit of Mercury by Kalyan Regional Community Science, Bhavnagar. In which team of KRCSC and Member of BAC saw & explained about telescope. They explained about Transit of Mercury (TOM), distribute 20000 pamphlets of TOM, saw a movie related to it and also explained that with the help of different mobile application how can they know more about Astronomy. More than 2 lakh people visited this stall during two days.

Transit Of Mercury Gazing Programme @ Takhteshwar Tekri:

A transit of Mercury across the Sun takes place when the planet Mercury passes directly between the Sun and a superior planet, becoming visible against (and hence obscuring a small portion of) the solar disk. During a transit, Mercury can be seen as a very small black disk moving across the face of the Sun. In Bhavnagar, ordinary man who are interested to saw the event but it could not possible for them for that Kalyan Regional Community Science, Bhavnagar facilitate them with filter glass on telescope at Takhteshwar temple, Bhavnagar to saw the whole event. KRCSC also saw live coverage from Science City, Ahmadabad.  More than 1900 people saw the Transit of mercury event.

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) visit:

Kalyan Regional Community Science centre held on ISRO visit for Science Students to celebrate world Technology Day. In this visit students saw a Space Application Centre exhibition where we saw different satellites ’like Earth observation, Geostationary satellites, different lunching vehicles like PSLV, GSLV etc. They also got information that satellites used in whether prediction, crop assessment & forecasting, forest and environment. We also saw Earth station and different laboratories’ working on making, testing of satellites. There were 100 people including students of different science collages visited ISRO.

Training Workshop on Spectroscopy @ Kadi:

Creative Chemistry Club working under Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar. Member of Creative Chemistry club got a chance to visit Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya and attained training workshop on spectroscopy. During this workshop head of chemistry department of Kadi Vishwavidyalaya Dr. Chintan Pandya explained about different instruments used in spectroscopy like HPCL, GC, IR etc. During this workshop students learn lots of new things and used and importance of different instruments. There were 15 members of Creative Chemistry Club benefited by this workshop.

Railway Workshop Visit:

Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre organised new Railway workshop visit for upper primary & Secondary school and college students. Our expert Mr. Vijay Vargiya (Chief Workshop Manager, Bhavnagar Railway Workshop) and Mr Viralbhai Pandya (Basic training centre in charge, Bhavnagar Railway Workshop) gave detailed information related to railway workshop. He told that Bhavnagar Railway workshop stood 1st amongst 64 railway workshop of Indian Railway. He also explained From creation to the body of the coach of the train bogies, Washing Line Coach, Emergency break facilities and precautions in workshop’s work. More than 110 people enthusiastically participated in this workshop visit.

Mars a new hope for human being. As we all know that a mar is a next planet to the Earth in our Solar System. Mars is about 90,000 Million kilometres away from the Earth. Mars is rotate around Sun on its orbits. Every two and half years mars is nearly passes to the Earth and this time Mars is only 7,52,80,000 Million kilometres away from the Earth. This kind of took place in this month. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre organised Mars observation with Telescope programme at Takhteshwar Temple, Bhavnagar. More than 500 people benefited during 2 days programme.

Environment Awareness Rally on World Environment Day 2016:

Every year 5th June is celebrated as world environment day. This year day is celebrated on theme “Zero Tolerance for the illegal Wildlife Trade”. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre with Collector office, Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation and Gujarat Pollution Control board organized Environment Awareness Rally at Moti Baugh town hall, Bhavnagar at 8.00 am. In  Inauguration ceremony of this programme Mr. Banchanidhi Pani (Collector, Bhavnagar), Mr. Suresh Dhandhala (Chairman, Standing committee, BMC, Bhavnagar), Mr. R.R. Vyas (Regional Officer, GPCB), Mr. Vikramsinh Gohil (Head Solid waste Management) , Mr. K.C. Pathak  (GM, Nirma Ltd.) , Mr. Saileshbhai Mehta( HR manager, Madhu silica), Mr. S. J. Chandarana ( City Engineer ,BMC), Mr. J.A. Rana (Dy. Municipal Commissioner, BMC), Mr. Pareshbhai Trivedi (President-kalyan Foundation), Dr. Bhaveshbhai Bharad (Chairman KRCSC) were  present Invited guest were share their views on save environment and collector of Bhavnagar Mr. Banchanidhi Pani flag off the rally after inauguration function. More than 400 students, teachers, member of BMC and Collector office participated in this Environment Awareness Rally.

Every year 5th June is celebrated as world environment day. This year day is celebrated on theme “Zero Tolerance for the illegal Wildlife Trade”. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre with Collector office, Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation and Gujarat Pollution Control board organized Poster Design Competition on “Save Forest and Save Wildlife” at Town Hall, Bhavnagar between 9.00 am to 12.00 pm. In this drawing competition Mr. R.R. Vyas (Regional Officer, GPCB), Mr. Vikramsinh Gohil (Head Solid waste Management), Mr. K.C. Pathak  (GM, Nirma Ltd.), Dr. Bhaveshbhai Bharad(Chairman, Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar) were present to motivate the students and also for prize distribution ceremony. Shri Shaileshbhai Dabhi, Shri Ashokbhai Patel were worked as judges in this drawing competition. KRCSC Provide A3 Size drawing sheet to the participant. Every participant has draw picture on their thoughts related to Save Forest and Save Wildlife. There were 400 students and 50 mentors from different primary, upper primary school and college students of Bhavnagar were participated in this competition. We divided Poster Design Competition in 3 groups.  1st, 2nd & 3rd Winner from each group got 501, 301, and 151 cash prize respectively and every participant got certificate in this Drawing competition.

Every year 5th June is celebrated as world environment day. This year day is celebrated on theme “Zero Tolerance for the illegal Wildlife Trade”. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre with Collector office, Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation and Gujarat Pollution Control board organized Essay Competition on “Zero Tolerance for the illegal Wildlife Trade”. Participants have to Wright easy on A4 size paper. For selection process law related to wild life, conservation of wild life, people contribution in save wild life and other topic are important.  There were 80 people of Bhavnagar city and Bhavnagar district were participated in this competition. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Winner from each group got 501, 301, and 151 cash prize respectively and every participant got certificate in this Drawing competition.

In this tree plantation programme honourable guests and Distinguished Persons of the city were present.

Industrial Visit (Nirma Pvt. Ltd.):

Kalyan Regional Community Science, Bhavnagar organized industry visit for Member of Creative Chemistry Club. During this visit Students saw different quality control laboratory, Salt works, RMDO, Toilet soap production plant, slat production plant etc. Each department expert explained about machinery and chemicals used in that department. In last session Assistant General Manager Mr. K. C. Pathak gave presentation on their product, new innovation and expansion of plant, history of the industry many more useful information of the industry. Nirma Pvt. Ltd. industrial visited by 65 members of Creative Chemistry club.

The most intelligent species “Human being” depends on Science. Well Science holds the key to our future. Scientific inventions & modern day technologies have completely changed the human life. The study of science should begin early in life. The first steps should be to teach boys and girls the habit of observation so its educative influence on the mind of students. This can be done using easy and natural study of science using different material objects that they can always seeing. To teach easy and realistic science Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised 4 Joy of Science Programme in different primary, Secondary and higher secondary school of whole Bhavnagar district. We show different practical’s used in daily life and also included in their syllabus. In this way we explained different science rules like Balance, Air pressure, Water pressure, reaction between acid- bases extra. More than 700 students benefited by this programme.

Exhibition means an event at which objects or collection of things are show to the public display. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised 2 Energy conservation chart exhibition   Programme in different primary, Secondary and higher secondary school of whole Bhavnagar district. In this chart exhibition which are the instrument save energy, other resource of energy like bio gas plant, solar water  heater, cross match with instrument and their uses of energy etc. There were 400 students benefited by this programme.

Drama Training Programme for Different Day Celebration:

During whole year there is many days celebrated in the world. Kalyan Regional Community Science centre, Bhavnagar planed to celebrate some days with a Drama. Drama is a tool by which we can convey our message easily to the students and society.  For that KRCSC organised Drama Training programme for college students. In this programme our expert gave suggestion on how to Wright script, how to perfume with available resources and used less prompt. There were 50 students participated in this drama training programme.

Teacher Orientation Workshop for NCSC (District level @ Bhavnagar):

Since last 2 years KRCSC worked on the project of National Children Science Congress. Different School teachers know that what is NCSC, how to work in this projects KRCSC organised teacher orientation programme on 9th July @ Government Medical College, Bhavnagar. In this programme our Expert explained history of NCSC, theme and sub theme, students how to work on this project and how to register their school online explained by project and academic coordinator. Our experts and evaluators were given guidance on the sub theme of Subject. More than 200 teachers from district participated in this programme.

Drama performance on World Population Day:

World Population day is an annual event, observed on July 11 every year, which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues. This year's theme is 'Investing in teenage girls. KRCSC perform drama on given theme at M.S Lakhani primary school Bhavnagar. By this drama we want gave message those teenage girls face ignoramus programmes in the world. Also pass message that being mankind how much we damage our Nature and Due to this imbalance in nature we face many problems in the world. There were more than 300 students benefited by this programme.

Superstitions are usually attributed to a lack of education. A superstition means excessively credulous belief in and reverence for the supernatural. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre organised this kind of programme to create scientific temperament to the students, women’s and in community. We explained science behind different superstitious experiment carried out by in our daily life by intentionally or Unintentionally. We carried out 2 programme of superstition awareness programme. There were 400 students benefited by this programme.

Food Adulteration Programme:

An adulterant is a pejorative term for a substance found within other substances such as food. The addition of adulterants is called adulteration. The most common reason for adulteration is the use by manufacturers of undeclared materials that are cheaper than the correct and declared ones. The adulterants may be harmful, or reduce the potency of the product, or they may be harmless. Food which is our basic needs is adulterated or not how can we find out. For that Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, organised Food Adulteration awareness programme for Women’s and community level. In this programme we explained about different adulterant in food items and how can they find adulterant in food using household things and also told about harmful effect of adulterants food. There were more than 60 Women’s benefited by this programme.

A Wide Subject to understand is Brahmnd or Universe. In universe there is many kind of things among them we know about planet, Asteroids, galaxy etc. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre organised Brahmand Darshan through slide show. In this Programme we explained about different Equipment used in research about planet and others also gave details about each planted and how their looks like. We also explained MOM. There were more than 260 Students benefited by this programme.

Superstition Awareness Programme:

Superstitions are usually attributed to a lack of education. A superstition means excessively credulous belief in and reverence for the supernatural. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre organised this kind of programme to create scientific temperament to the students, women’s and in community. We explained science behind different superstitious experiment carried out by in our daily life by intentionally or Unintentionally. We carried out 6 programme of superstition awareness programme. There were 1,115 students benefited by this programme.

Vigyan Safar:

Safar means visit the place in which we interested and get more information related to that place. KRCSC have two different model’s room and laboratory and Multimedia theatre. In Vigyan safar programme students are allow to visit our science centre where they can see different science model, solar energy model, electric saving model, sensor related models etc. In laboratory students can see life cycle of different animals, living animal’s specimen & also do some experiment by themselves and at last in multimedia theatre students show different scientific movie. We carried out 4 programme of Vigyan Safar. All school and college students are allowed to visit centre. More than 200 students visited KRCSC during this month.

Meeting cum Presentation of Creative Chemistry Club:

Creative Chemistry Club working under Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised meeting for CCC member and also students from Chemistry and person interested in chemistry for update knowledge related to chemistry. In this meeting we discussed about new innovation in science. People who are doing job they share their experiences with other members. We all discuss about next meeting agenda.   In this meeting member’s of chemistry club gave live experiment of reaction occurs between copper and nitric acid and also saw video of this experiments. There were 50 students participated in this meeting.

Celebration of Hiroshima Day:

Hiroshima Day commemorates 6 August 1945, the day when an atomic bomb was dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, followed a few days later by another dropped on the city of Nagasaki. Hiroshima Day is now a focus for anti-war and anti-nuclear discussions and demonstrations. To celebrate this day and gave information related to this day Kalyan Regional Community Science centre organised drama at Shri N.C Gandhi Kumari Vidhya Mandir, Bhavnagar. With help of this drama we explained the harmful effect of atomic bomb, formation of United Nation and also pass a message to save environment. There were more than 300 student’s shows this messaging drama.

Scientific Day Celebration (Dr. Vikram Sarabhai 98th Birth Anniversary):

Vikram Sarabhai was the main personality behind the launching of India’s first satellite, ‘Aryabhatta’. He is considered as the ‘father of the Indian Space Programme’. Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai was among the few scientists who devoted their entire life to the progress of science in our country, was born on 12th August 1919 in Ahmadabad, Gujarat. His father Ambalal Sarabhai was an affluent industrialist and owned many mills in Gujarat. His interest in solar physics and cosmic ray led him to set up many observation stations around the country. He was also the Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission. In his living memory we organize a movie show which shows an entire life history of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai for school students. In this programme 50 students were benefited by this programme.

National Science Seminar-2016 (District level @ Bhavnagar):

Every Year National Science Seminar (District level) organized by Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre supported by Gujarat Council on Science & technology department (GUJCOST).

We know the importance of pulses in our daily life. So KRCSC, Bhavnagar held District level National Science Seminar on 13th of August 2016 at Government Medical College, Bhavnagar on the theme of PULSES FOR SUSTAINABLE FOOD SECURITY: PROSPECTS & CHALLENGES

In Inauguration ceremony of this programme. Mr. Satishbhai Trivedi (Administrative officer Primary Education Committee, Bhavnagar), Mr. Mahendrabhai Patel (Deputy District Primary Education Officer, Bhavnagar), Mr. Vedantbhai Pandya (I/C Registrar M.K.B university), Mr. Pareshbhai Trivedi (President of Kalyan Foundation), Mr. Bhaveshbhai Bharad (Chairman KRCSC) were explained Seminar means a Created awareness about importance & usefulness of pulses in our life.

In this competition Mr. Parekh Chetas (Swaminarayan Gurukul, Bhavnagar), Mr. Chuhan Kripal (Shree B.B .Shah High School, Devgana, Ta: Shihor), Ms. Kamdar Ashka (Naimishranya School, Sidsar Bhavnagar) got First, Second & Third rank respectively.  First & Second Ranker will go to State level Competition for represent Bhavnagar District. There were 95 Primary & Secondary School students and teachers participated in this competition.  Every Participant got certificate. 117 Students with 84 Teachers and 15 others as total 216 were present in this district level competition.

National Rural I.T Quiz -2016 (District level @ Bhavnagar):

Nowadays Information technology (I.T) is important part of our life and for us we have to update with latest innovation in this sector. For Rural area students it may be not possible. To check out their knowledge about I.T sector there is a Rural I.T quiz.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd organizes National Level Rural I.T Quiz at Bangalore. In part of this Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre supported by Gujarat Council on Science & Technology Department (GUJCOST) Conducted District level National Rural I.T Quiz on 13st of August 2016 at Government Medical Collage, Bhavnagar. In this programme Lighting Ceremony was Carried  out by Mr. Satishbhai Trivedi (Administrative officer Primary Education Committee, Bhavnagar), Mr. Mahendrabhai Patel (Deputy District Primary Education Officer, Bhavnagar), Mrs. Heenaben Belani (Quiz Master), Mr. Pareshbhai Trivedi (President of Kalyan Foundation Trust), Mr. Bhaveshbhai Bharad (Chairman KRCSC) This I.T Quiz have 3 different round.. First one is Pokémon round. In this round 69 teams have to give answer of 40 questions. In this round best 30 teams selected out of 69 teams. The next was selfie round in which selected 30 teams participated. Third and final round is Marshmallow round in which students gave to answer of question asked by quiz master on the screen. There was a tough Competition among the students and after completion of 3rd session we got best 10 teams out of 16 teams. This team is going to participate in State level Competition. From entire Bhavnagar District 69 team of 69 Rural Primary & Secondary School Participated in this competition. Total 218 students, Teachers and Other was present at this Programme.

Scientific Day Celebration  (Akshay Urja Divas):

 Akshay Urja diwas is an awareness campaign about the developments of renewable energy in India, celebrated on August 20 every year since 2004. The Indian Ministry for New & Renewable Energy Source initiated Akshay Urja Day (Diwas) in 2004. To celebrate this day KRCSC organized lecture on renewable and non renewable energy recourses. We also show different solar model and explained about how it works and renewable recourses chart to the students. There were more than 70 students benefited by this programme.

Meeting cum Presentation of Creative Chemistry Club:

Creative Chemistry Club working under Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised meeting for CCC member and also students from Chemistry and person interested in chemistry for update knowledge related to chemistry.  This Monthly meeting was handling by one of the group member Ms. Sherya Chandarana. In this meeting we have 3 different presentations. Ms. Sheya Chandarana gave 1st presentation on how to make bio plastic, Mr. Pravinsnh Jadeja gave second presentation on law of Markovnikov and Mr. Divyarajsinh Parmar gave third presentation on how to make of rayon fibre and its uses. There were 50 students participated in this meeting.

National Science Drama-2016 (District level @ Bhavnagar) :

Drama is a mode of fictional representation through dialogue and performance. It is one of the literary genres, which is an imitation of some action. Every Year National Science Drama (District level) organized by kalyan Regional Community Science Centre supported by Gujarat Council on Science & technology department (GUJCOST). The Theme of the Drama is SCIENCE FOR SOCIETY.  KRCSC organize Science Drama on this theme on 2nd September 2016 at Saint Mary’s English school, Bhavnagar. Opening ceremony guests were Shri Virenbhai Pandya (Govt. Arts & Commerce College, Gadhada), Ms. Prashakah Shukla (Dept. of Marin Science Bhavnagar), Mr. Satishbhai Makwana (Shri Vidhyathish Vidhya Sankul, Bhavnagar) and Dr. Bhaveshbhai Bharad (Chairman, KRCSC). This Programmed 245 participant are there in which 215 students and 30 teacher of about 25 school of the district.  C. M. Vidhyalaya, Palitana Winning team is going to represent in state level drama competition

Since last 23 years’ National Children Science Congress project worked in India under Department of science and technology Govt. of India. Gujarat Council on Science and Technology handle this project in Gujarat. There were 73 Upper primaries and Secondary School students gave presentation on their research work carried out in different sub themes under Focal theme “Science, Technology & innovation for Sustainable development” of NCSC. There were 11 best Projects selected in this competition and they will be going to represent Bhavnagar district in state level Competition.

16th September is celebrated as World Ozone Day. This year theme of the day is OZONE AND CLIMATE: RESTORED BY A WORLD UNIED”. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised a movie show for the primary school students. The movie related to we polluted the nature and it’s affect on ozone layer. There were 100 students benefited by this programme.

World  Ozone Day: “Ozone Dialogue with youth”:

16th September is celebrated as World Ozone Day. This year theme of Ozone day is “OZONE AND CLIMATE: RESTORED BY A WORLD UNIED”.  Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre with Gujarat Pollution Control Board organised Ozone Dialogue with youth’ programme for college students at Rotary Hall, Bhavnagar. In this programme Shri R.R.Vyas (RO, GPCB, Bhavnagar), Shri Rajeshbhai Kothari (President, Rotary Club, Bhavnagar), Dr. Bhavesh Bharad (Chairman, KRCSC) were present. The Chief Guest & Expert of this programme Dr. Bharatsinh Gohil (HOD, Dept. Of Life Science. M.K.B University, Bhavnagar) explain about ozone layer, ozone formation process, ozone depletion is effect human body and it creates skin diseases, eye diseases, Reduce immune system. Our expert gave a slogan Conservation = To learn it+ To Love it + To leave it. In conclusion he told that we have to become a soldier of Nature. There were 250 students, teachers benefited by this programme.

State level Science Seminar organised by GUJCOST at Science City, Ahmadabad on 17th September 2016. District winner Parekh Chetas (Swaminarayan Gurukul high School, Bhavnagar) and Gohil Kripalsinh (B.B shah High School, Devgana, Ta: shihor) participated in state level competition. From whole Gujarat 60 students were participated.

Training Workshop for NCSC (State Level) Organised by KRCSC:

Since last 23 years’ National Children Science Congress project worked in India Department of science and technology Govt. of India. Gujarat Council on Science and Technology handle this project in Gujarat. In parts of this Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre Bhavnagar organize student’s project presentation Programme on 10th September 2016 at MJCKR School, At: Songadh, Bhavnagar. There were 11 best Projects selected in this competition. These selected students were invited in this training workshop. Our Evaluators’ suggested necessary changes in their files for state level competition also told about their presentation skill.

The most intelligent species “Human being” depends on Science. Well Science holds the key to our future. Scientific inventions & modern day technologies have completely changed the human life. The study of science should begin early in life. The first steps should be to teach boys and girls the habit of observation so its educative influence on the mind of students. This can be done using easy and natural study of science using different material objects that they can always seeing. To teach easy and realistic science Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised 5 Joy of Science Programme in different primary, Secondary and higher secondary school of whole Bhavnagar district. We show different practical’s used in daily life and also included in their syllabus. In this way we explained different science rules like Balance, Air pressure, Water pressure, reaction between acid- bases extra. More than 750 students benefited by this programme.

State level National Rural I.T Quiz organized by GUJCOST. Best 10 winning teams from Bhavnagar district participated in State level Competition held at Town hall, Gandhinagar on 17th September, 2016. From whole Gujarat 290 teams were participated. State Champion from Bhavnagar District’s M.J.C.K.R Higher Secondary School, At: Songadh, Ta: Sihor will represent for Gujarat State in National level Rural I.T quiz  held at Bangalore.

Industrial Visit (CSMCRI Bhavnagar):

Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (formerly Central Salt Research Institute) is a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar held on visit of CSMCRI, Bhavnagar on 26th September as 74th Foundation Day of CSIR. During this visit we show Preparations of nutrient-rich salt of plant origins, Electro dialysis domestic desalination system, Preparation of low sodium salt of botanic origin, preparation of bio-diesel, Water distribution plant on wheel for remote area, drought area and areas effected during natural disaster. Different instruments used in their Research lab. More than 50 members of Our Creative Chemistry Club and Bhavnagar Astronomy Club under KRCSC visited CSMCRI.

Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre exhibited Maths-Science and space Model exhibition in Cluster level Science fair at MSB School no.72, Bhavnagar. In maths- Science model exhibition students show different models like sensor related models, models explained different scientific rules, Solar model, maths model and different maths puzzles. We also them also a space related model in this students show space satellite, telescope etc.  More than 250 students & Teacher visited this model exhibition.

Exhibition means an event at which objects or collection of things are show to the public display. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised 2 Energy conservation chart exhibition   Programme in different primary, Secondary and higher secondary school of whole Bhavnagar district. In this chart exhibition which are the instrument save energy, other resource of energy like bio gas plant, solar water  heater, cross match with instrument and their uses of energy etc. There were 375 students benefited by this programme.

Movie is not just for entertainment. It gives knowledge also. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised a Scientific Movie show for the primary school students. In this movie show we show them different movie and documentary related to our great scientist Dr. Vikram sarabhai. In the movie “Antraixna Praneta” show the life history of Vikram Sarabhai, his vision and mission that how India   contributed in space technology. More than 400 students got benefit from this programme.

Visit to Black buck National Park (Celebration of World Wild Life Week 2016):

National Wildlife Week is the National Wildlife Federation's longest-running education program, celebrating its 78th year in 2016. This year’s theme, Members Matter: Working Together for Wildlife focuses on the contributions that individuals, schools, and communities can make for the wildlife in their own areas and across the nation. 2nd October is celebrated as “Gandhi Jayanti” and gave best tribute to him Our prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi declares to celebrate one week as “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. To celebrate wild life week and Swachhta Bharat Abhiyan Kalyan Regional Community organised visit to a Black Buck National park for students. During this visit students knew history of different species of animals, birds with their photographs also saw migrated birds on its wetland area. After that students done cleaning activities of different part of park to celebrate Swachhta Bharat Abhiyan. More than 60 students participated in this visit.

As we all know that 2nd October to 8th October is celebrated as wild life week. To celebrate and to make awareness for conservation of wild life Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised lecture and slide show for primary& secondary school students. In this programme our experts explained that wild life means not only a wild animals but it also include birds and plant. Its usefulness and important to the mankind. They also explained about Extinct in the Wildlife and Legacy of wildlife. More than 1700 primary & secondary school students from different taluka of Bhavnagar district benefited by this programme.

Lecture and Slide Show on World Space Week 2016:

World Space Week is an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition. The United Nations General Assembly declared in 1999 that World Space Week will be held each year from October 4-10. In this programme our experts explained that different organisation in the world work on space technology, also explained about different planets, its characteristics and about ISRO and its different achievement.  More than 1400 primary & Secondary school students from different taluka of Bhavnagar district benefited by this programme.

There were 50 students in this Sunday Science School programme.

The Mathematics Olympiad programme in India is organised by the Homibhabha centre for science education. This competition is organised to find out and motivate Maths talent in Gujarat. To find out this talent Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre organised district level RMO (Regional Mathematics Olympiad) exam on 9th October at KRCSC. There were 14students participated in this competition.

Sky –Gazing by Telescope (Chandra Darshan)

The Sharad Purnima or Kojagari Purnima or Kumar Purnima is a harvest festival celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu lunar month of Ashvin (September–October). It marks the end of monsoon. There is a traditional celebration of the moon and is also called the 'Kaumudi celebration', Kaumudi meaning moonlight. It is also believed that on this day as moon and the earth are very close to each other, the moon rays have certain healing properties of nourishing the body and the soul. To saw a lighting moon   Kalyan Regional Community Science Organized Chandra Darshan By Telescope Programme at Takhteswar Temple, Bhavnagar. On this day at evening students from Nursery to U.Kg saw a full Moon by telescope and also got knowledge about planet, stars and basic information of moon from our expert and Astronomers Mr. Subhasbhai Mehta .More than 200 students and common public took part in this programme.

State level National Children Science Congress organised by GUJCOST at Gujarat Vidhyapith, Ahmadabad during 26th to 28th October 2016. 11 best selected Projects from district level competition held at M.J.C.K.R at: songadh participated in state level competition. There were 341 teams from different district of Gujarat state participated in this competition.

Sky –Gazing by Telescope:

An astronomical event was occurred on this day. Different planets like Venues, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto from our solar system were nearby our Earth in different constellation. So Kalyan Regional Community Science centre held on sky-gazing programme by telescope at Takhteshwar temple, Bhavnagar for citizen of Bhavnagar. In this programme our expert Mr. Subhasbhai Mehta explained about constellation, our Natural satellite Moon and many more information regarding astronomy. More than 500 people benefited by this programme.

Prof. BITS, Baroda) from Vigyan Gurjari visited Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar where they show sensor related model room, Model room, Laboratory, Save Energy model room and many more information related to Science.

Industrial Visit @ CSMCRI Bhavnagar (Celebration of World Science Day):

Central Salt and Marine chemical research Institute, Bhavnagar organised India International Science Festival-2016 on 10th November 2016. They organised “Vigyan Darshan” programme for school and college students. “Vigyan Darshan” programme includes a science exhibition showing R &D contribution & achievement made by CSMRI. Kalyan Regional Community Science centre arranged visit at CSMCRI for Creative Chemistry club and Bhavnagar Astronomy Club members on this day. They show different projects like bio fuel from micro algae, identifying micro organism find out in seashore sight with help of satellite etc.  There were more than 25 students benefited by this programme.

 Super Moon Gazing Programme @ Takhteshwar Tekri:

While full moons are always a delight to watch, the one scheduled to make an appearance on November 14, and the world is treated to the brightest super moon in 68 years. That’s because it is no ordinary full moon, but the brightest and biggest “super moon”.  The term super moon refers to a full moon that coincides with the lunar orb’s closest approach to Earth, or perigee. For sky gazer to saw this tremendous astronomical event Kalyan Regional Community Science centre, Bhavnagar organised Super Moon gazing programme at Takhteswar Temple, Bhavnagar. KRCSC arrange 3 different telescopes. Our Experts Subhasbhai Mehta gave audio- visual information about super moon. This event was grand successful because more than 3500 sky gazer saw the super moon. Vigyan Safar (Akwada College: MSW Students):

Safar means visit the place in which we interested and get more information related to that place. KRCSC have two different model’s room and laboratory and Multimedia theatre. In Vigyan Safar programme students are allow to visit our science centre where they can see different science model, solar energy model, electric saving model, sensor related models etc. In laboratory students can see life cycle of different animals, living animal’s specimen & also do some experiment by themselves and at last in multimedia theatre students show different scientific movie. We carried out 1 programme of Vigyan Safar. All school and college students are allowed to visit centre. More than 50 students visited KRCSC during this month.

Superstitions are usually attributed to a lack of education. A superstition means excessively credulous belief in and reverence for the supernatural. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre organised this kind of programme to create scientific temperament to the students, women’s and in community. We explained science behind different superstitious experiment carried out by in our daily life by intentionally or Unintentionally. We carried out 1 programme of superstition awareness programme. There were 300 students benefited by this programme.

Milk Day Celebration  - Industrial Visit (Sarvottam Dairy):

November 26 will be etched as a special day in the annual calendar of India - world's largest milk producer .For the first time in the history of India's dairy sector, all the dairy majors have joined hands to celebrate November 26 as National Milk Day in the memory Dr Verghese Kurien, Father of India's White Revolution. To celebrate milk day Kalyan Regional Community Science centre, Bhavnagar organised industrial visit at Sarvottam Dairy, Shihor for School and College students. During visit we show different plant of milk and milk products like Ghee, Buttermilk and Curd. We also understood mechanism of each plant like How to collect milk, process of separation of fat into milk, quality control, packing and dispatch of the product. More than 50 students benefited in industrial programme.

Rural I.T Quiz-2016 (National  Level) (Secured 3rd Rank):

State winner (Bhavnagar Team) participated in National level Rural I.T. Quiz held at Bangalore. In India 17 Lac students from different state participated in this competition. There was a tough competition among the students. After completion of third round State winner of Gujarat Mr. Viraj Shah and MR. Kartik shah  Secured third rank in this competition. These students got electronics gazettes kit including Samsung smart phone, portable speaker and many more as a furtherance.

Comet ISON Gazing Programme @ Takhteshwar Tekri:

When Comet ISON was discovered in the autumn of 2012, astronomers hoped that it would eventually light up the night sky to become a "COMET OF THE CENTURY". Orbital analysis showed that the sun grazing intruder from the outer reaches of the Solar System would pass only 1.2 million kilometres above the Sun's visible surface on November 28, 2016. For sky gazer to saw this tremendous astronomical event Kalyan Regional Community Science centre, Bhavnagar organised sky gazing by telescope programme at Takhteswar Temple, Bhavnagar. Our Experts Subhasbhai Mehta gave information about Comet Ison and nearby planets Jupiter. There were 100 sky gazer saw a Comet ISON and Jupiter.

World Soil Day Celebration:

 The World Soil Day campaign aims to connect people with soils and raise awareness on their critical importance in our lives. The International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS), in 2002, made a resolution proposing the 5th of December as WORLD SOIL DAY to celebrate the importance of soil as a critical component of the natural system and as a vital contributor to human wellbeing. The positive contributions of pulses to soil properties are many: they fix the atmosphere nitrogen and improve its biodiversity, fertility and structure. That is why the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) dedicates this year's World Soil Day to pulses. World Soil day was celebrated by Kalyan Regional Community Science centre, Bhavnagar at Shri Ghoba Primary School and Shri Hipavadali Primary School, Ta: Jesar .In this programme our expert Mr. Harshad Joshi explained Importance of soil in our life, Introduction of soil, structure of soil particles, types of soil and what is the reason behind the different colour of soil, types of crops in different soil to the students. He further explained that which are the human activities that polluted our soil which is an essential resource and a vital part of the natural environment from which most of the global food is produced. More than 250 students were benefited by this programme.

The Universe is everything we can touch, feel, sense, measure or detect. It includes living things, planets, stars, galaxies, dust clouds, light, and even time. Before the birth of the Universe, time, space and matter did not exist. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre organised Brahmand Darshan through slide show. In this Programme we explained about different Equipment used in research about planet and others also gave details about each planted and how their looks like. We also explained MOM. There were more than 260 Students benefited by this programme.

We have carried out 2 industrial visit at CSMCRI and Sarvottam Dairy & Adventure tour in this month. In this meeting member who was participated in this visit share their experience to others. One of the group member who studied in std 10th and participated  in state level National children Science Congress Mr. Vatsal share their experience to other group member. Renewable energy Sources & Energy Conservation Drawing Competition:

Bal Urja Rakshak Dal (BURD) Programme running under Gujarat Energy Development Authority (GEDA). The aim of this organisation is to pass the message related to energy conservation and uses of renewable energy resources to the People. For the same Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar Cooperation with GEDA organized Renewable energy sources & Energy Conservation Drawing Competition on 10th December 2016, at Town Hall, Bhavnagar between 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm. In this drawing competition SMT Truptiben Vyas (Deputy Commissioner, Bhavnagar), Shri Pareshbhai Trivedi (Principal of B.M Commerce High School, Bhavnagar), Dr. Bhaveshbhai Bharad (Chairman, Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar) were present to inspire the students and also for prize distribution ceremony. Shri Ashokbhai Patel  (Drawing Teacher and CRC-3, Bhavnagar),SMT Kinnariben Rathod (Drawing Teacher, Fine Arts Collage), Shri Rakeshbhai Ujjainiya(Drawing Teacher),were worked as judges in this drawing competition. KRCSC Provide A3 Size drawing sheet to the participant. Every student whom takes part in this competition draw picture on their imagination related  energy crisis face by human being in the future and used of Renewable energy sources. There were 296 students and 100 teachers & parents from different upper primary school of Bhavnagar and Bhavnagar Taluka were participated in this competition. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Winner from standard 5 to 8 got 5,000, 3000, and 1000 cash prize respectively and every participant got certificate in this Drawing competition.

Energy Conservation Rally:

Bal Urja Rakshak Dal (BURD) Programme running under Gujarat Energy Development Authority (GEDA). The aim of this organisation is to pass the message related to energy conservation and uses of renewable energy resources to the People. For the same Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar Incorporate with GEDA organized Energy Conservation Rally on 14th December 2016 (National Energy Conservation Day) during 7.30 to 10.30 is at Vishuddhanand Vidhyamandir, Bhavnagar. In this rally Mr. A.G. Tannarana (Chief Engineer, PGVCL, Bhavnagar), Dr. C. B. Tripathi (Dean, Government Medical Collage, Bhavnagar ), Shri Laljibhai Dhandhlya (Principal Vishuddhanand Vidhyamandir),Dr. Bhaveshbhai Bharad(Chairman, Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar) were present to inspire  participant students. Dignitaries of the Dais share their thoughts on energy crisis faced by us and uses of renewable energy resources. After inaugural function invited guests gave departure signal to the rally Energy Conservation rally starts at Vishuddhanand Vidhyamandir & afterwards passes through different parts like M. J. Commerce Collage, PG boys hostel, Law collage, BPTI Collage, Vidheswer  mahadev temple and SBI bank etc. of Vidhyanagar areas and retunes at starting point. During this rally students carry banner of their school, play card and different slogan related to energy conservation with them. There were more than 1700 students & teachers from 74 school of Bhavnagar District participated in this rally.

The most intelligent species “Human being” depends on Science. Well Science holds the key to our future. Scientific inventions & modern day technologies have completely changed the human life. The study of science should begin early in life. The first steps should be to teach boys and girls the habit of observation so its educative influence on the mind of students. This can be done using easy and natural study of science using different material objects that they can always seeing. To teach easy and realistic science Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised 5 Joy of Science Programme in different primary, Secondary and higher secondary school of whole Bhavnagar district. We show different practical’s used in daily life and also included in their syllabus. In this way we explained different science rules like Balance, Air pressure, Water pressure, reaction between acid- bases extra. More than 750 students benefited by this programme.

Workshop on making of mathematics model  (National Mathematics Day):

In India, the day December 22 has been declared as the National Mathematics Day. Dr Manmohan Singh also announced that the year 2012 CE would be celebrated as the National Mathematics Year The Indian mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan was born on 22 December 1887 and died on 26 April 1920. It was in recognition of his contribution to mathematics the Government of India decided to celebrate Ramanujan’s birthday as the National Mathematics Day every year and to celebrate 2012 as the National Mathematical Year. National Mathematics day was celebrated by Kalyan Regional Community Science centre, Bhavnagar at Shri V. L. Mangukiya Secondary School, Ta: Mahuva and Sardar Patel Primary School No. 59, Bhavnagar.   In this programme our expert Mr. Harshad Joshi explained life history of A Great scientist Ramanujan, mathematics Past, Present and Future by slide show. Afterwards he explained how to make mathematical models to the students and according to his instruction students made different models mode like The magic square of Ramanujan, Taxi Cube and Magic of number Nine etc. Total 350 students benefited by this programme.

Food Adulteration Programme:

An adulterant is a pejorative term for a substance found within other substances such as food. The addition of adulterants is called adulteration. The most common reason for adulteration is the use by manufacturers of undeclared materials that are cheaper than the correct and declared ones. The adulterants may be harmful, or reduce the potency of the product, or they may be harmless. Food which is our basic needs is adulterated or not how can we find out. For that Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, organised Food Adulteration awareness programme for Women’s and community level. In this programme we explained about different adulterant in food items and how can they find adulterant in food using household things and also told about harmful effect of adulterants food. There were more than 300 Women’s benefited by this programme.

Paush Purnima is a significant day in Hindu calendar. It marks the beginning of one month long austerity period which is observed during Magha month. So Kalyan Regional Community Science centre held on sky-gazing programme by telescope at Saibaba temple, Bhavnagar for citizen of Bhavnagar. In this programme our expert Mr. Harshadbhai Joshi and Member of Bhavnagar Astronomy club explained about constellation, our Natural satellite our smart Moon and many more information regarding astronomy and also gave information regarding different space application used in phone. More than 100 people benefited by this programme.

Celebration on World Wetlands Day:

The 2 February each year is World Wetlands Day, marking the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on 2 February 1971. To celebration this day So Kalyan Regional Community Science centre organized one day nature study camp at Victoria park. In this camp our expert Mr. Yashpal Vyas and Mr. Jay Dave gave information about different migrated birds shown in wetland area. They introduce herb used in our daily life and animals shown in the park. In the end books of bird identification and herb identification distributed in the participants. In this study camp There were 60 students from different primary and secondary school of Bhavnagar participated in this study camp.

Workshop On Penumbra Lunar Eclipse:

In this month there will be two different kind of eclipse are going on, penumbra lunar eclipse and Annular Solar Eclipse. First one is penumbra lunar eclipse. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised workshop for Science collage students. In this workshop our expert Mr. Subhasbhai Mehta, Mr. Umeshbhai Dodiya and Mr. Jawantbhai Yagnik were present.  Mr, Mehta explained about different eclipse. He was also explained effect of lunar eclipse on Earth, effect of lunar phases on human behaviour etc. Mr. Dodiya explained about light pollution and effect of light pollution on human as well as on earth and Mr. Yagnik explained about sun and sunspot and many more. More than 50 students participated in this workshop.

Penumbra Lunar Eclipse Gazing Programme @ Takhteshwar Tekri:

It is often difficult to tell the difference between a penumbral eclipse and a regular Full Moon. However, this eclipse is easier to spot than an average penumbral eclipse because the Moon travels through the darkest areas of Earth’s penumbra, only just missing the umbra, the shadow's dark core. For this astronomical event Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised penumbra lunar eclipse gazing programme at Takhteshwar, Bhavnagar. By using 3 different telescopes. Our expert explained about what is penumbra lunar eclipse and its effect on human being. More than 50 students participated in this event

Like every metro city, in history of Bhavnagar “Happy Street” was organised in Bhavnagar. In this event to create scientific temper with fun. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar participated in this programme. KRCSC present Scientific model exhibition like working model of stream engine, efficient use of door to door waste management van, and usefulness of biodegradable waste, how magnetic field work etc, live Science practical’s like reaction between HCL and Ammonia, different layers of liquid according their density and sunspot gazing by telescope. Mr. Gijubhai Bharad also visited this exhibition During the whole event more than 1000 people visited this exhibition.

Galileo Galilei Birth day Celebration by Galileo’s  Moon gazing programme:

Italian scientist and scholar Galileo made pioneering observations that laid the foundation for modern physics and astronomy. Born on February 15, 1564, in Pisa, Italy, Galileo Galilei was a mathematics professor who made pioneering observations of nature with long-lasting implications for the study of physics. He also constructed a telescope and supported the Copernican theory, which supports a sun-cantered solar system. To celebrate 453 Birth anniversary of Galileo Galilei Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised Galileo’s moon Gazing programme by telescope at Agaiyali, Ta: Shihor. In this programme our expert Mr. Harshad Joshi explained about life history of Galileo and also shows biography of him. There were 150 students benefited by this programme.

This can be done using easy and natural study of science using different material objects that they can always seeing. To teach easy and realistic science Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised 1 Joy of Science Programme in different primary, Secondary and higher secondary school of whole Bhavnagar district. We show different practical’s used in daily life and also included in their syllabus. In this way we explained different science rules like Balance, Air pressure, Water pressure, reaction between acid- bases extra. More than 375 students benefited by this programme.

Cerebral palsy Students study Tour @ Velavadar and Lothal:

Cerebral palsy students are part of Sunday Science School working under Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar. For those students KRCSC arrange one day study tour at Black bug National Park @ Velavadar and Lothal. During this study tour they show a museum in this park. Our expert Mr. Harsh explained history of royal era of Bhavnagar and its connection with Velavadar. Different types of birds found in this area and how can we differentiate them in female and male. They saw black bug and also albino bug at park. After wards we went to Lothal. Where we show documentary on Lothal and museum where we saw their town planning scheme, economy and culture and many more. There were 50 students; teachers and parents participated in this tour.

Maths-Science Model Exhibition @ Mahuva

Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre exhibited Maths-Science and space Model exhibition in Science fair at V.L Mangukiya Secondary School, Mahuva. In maths- Science model exhibition students show different models like sensor related models, models explained different scientific rules, Solar model, maths model We also them also a space related model in this students show space satellite, telescope etc. More than 500 students & Teacher visited this model exhibition.

Venus Gazing By Telescope @ Takhteshwer:

Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honour of the god Shiva. There is a Shivaratri in every luni-solar month of the Hindu calendar, on the month's 13th night/14th day, but once a year in late winter (February/March, or Phalguna) and before the arrival of spring, marks Maha Shivaratri which means "the Great Night of Shiva” It is a major festival in Hinduism, but one that is solemn and marks a remembrance of "overcoming darkness and ignorance" in life and the world. To celebrate Maha Shivratri with devotees & lead them to astronomical knowledge Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised Venus gazing programme at Takhteshwar Temple. In this programme our expert Mr. Subhasbhai Mehta, Mr. Harshad Joshi and Member of Bhavnagar Astronomy club explained about constellation, our Natural satellite our smart Moon and many more information regarding astronomy and also gave information regarding different space application used in phone. More than 600 people benefited by this programme.

Model Rocketry Workshop @ Mahuva:

National Science Day is celebrated all over India with great enthusiasm on 28th of February every year in order to commemorate the invention of the Raman Effect in India by the Indian physicist, Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman on the same day in the year 1928. For his great success in the field of science in India, Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman was awarded and honoured with the Nobel Prize in the Physics in the year 1930. To celebrate National Science Day Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised Model Rocketry Workshop for primary and upper primary school students of Mahuva . In this workshop Mr. Harshad Joshi Explained rocket is work on Newton’s third law of Motion that: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Afterwards he told that how to construct rocket. Finally rocket was ready to lunch. All students lunch their own rocket with launching pad. There were 50 students from different primary and upper primary school students of Mahuva Taluka participated in this workshop.

Dungarpur Primary School, Rajkot @ KRCSC:

Dungarpur Primary School, Dist: Rajkot came to visit Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar. During this visit students show Science model Exhibition where they show different models like solar steel, biogases plant, magnetic train, electricity saving, light model etc then they move to science lab biological specimen, microscope etc and finally they shown sky related movie at our multimedia theatre. There were 55 students and teacher from Dungarpur primary school benefited by this programme.

For his great success in the field of science in India, Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman was awarded and honoured with the Nobel Prize in the Physics in the year 1930. To celebrate National Science Day Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organized Lecture on C.V. Raman’s Biography & Innovation “Raman Effect” at Aryakul Vidhyalaya & Sahjanand Vidhyalaya Bhavnagar, M. J. C.K.R, At: Songadh ,Ta: Shihor. In this programme our expert Shri Subhasbhai Mehta and Shri Dipakbhai Pandya explained out life story of C.V. Raman and its innovation in Raman Effect and also shown biography movie to the students. There were more than 900 students benefited by this programme.

We show different practical’s used in daily life and also included in their syllabus. In this way we explained different science rules like Balance, Air pressure, Water pressure, reaction between acid- bases extra. There Were  739 students benefited by this programme.

Chart Exhibition (Energy Conservation):

Exhibition means an event at which objects or collection of things are show to the public display. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised Energy conservation chart exhibition   Programme in different Primary, Secondary and Higher secondary school of whole Bhavnagar district. In this chart exhibition which are the instrument save energy, other resource of energy like bio gas plant, solar water  heater, cross match with instrument and their uses of energy etc. There were 500 students benefited by this programme.

Seminar on Women Leadership in Science & Technology (International Women’s Day):

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. To make this day memorable. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organised seminar on “Women’s leadership in Science & Technology” at J.J. Mehta Girls School, Shihor. In his lecture our expert Mr. Harshad told the motivational story of the women’s who are top in their working area in a different field. Chief expert Shri Niketaben Acharya told the students that every woman has some inner strength and by using her strength woman can make her future bright & at last she sing a nice poem which explained different characteristics that women have. There were 376 students benefited by this seminar.

Teacher Training Workshop on Superstition Awareness:

Superstitions are usually attributed to a lack of education. A superstition means excessively credulous belief in and reverence for the supernatural. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre organised Teacher training workshop on superstition awareness at BRC Bhavan Ta: Shihor. In this workshop our expert Mr. Jaydeep Munjpara told about superstition in past and present era. There was a science behind every rituals and demonstrate different science experiments used in superstition. There were 100 teachers benefited by this training workshop.

Silent Save Sparrow Awareness Rally on World Sparrow Day-2017:

World Sparrow Day is celebrated on March 20, 2017. World Sparrow Day is a day designated to raise awareness of the House Sparrow and other common birds to urban environments, and of threats to their populations. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organized Environment Awareness Rally at Vir Sardarsinh Rana Primary School no. 73 at 8.00 am. In Inauguration ceremony of this programme Mr. D. P. Vaghela (R.F.O. Blacksburg National Park, Velavadar), Mr. V. A. Rathod  (R.F.O. Mobile van Blacksburg National Park, Velavadar), MR. Bimal Bhatt (R.F.O. Training, Darjling), Mr. A. A. Dabhi (Victory Park, Bhavnagar), Mr. Barot (Victoria Park, Bhavnagar), Mr. Nilesh Raval (Chairman Education Committee, Bhavnagar), Mr. Pareshbhai Trivedi (President-kalyan Foundation), were present Invited guest were share their views on save Sparrow and Mr. D. P. Vaghela & Mr. Nilesh Raval  flag off the rally after inauguration function. More than 700 students, teachers, participated in this Save Sparrow Awareness Rally.

World Sparrow Day is a day designated to raise awareness of the House Sparrow and other common birds to urban environments, and of threats to their populations. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organized Photo Exhibition at SardarNagar, Bhavnagar. In this Exhibition visitors show picture of different birds which are not seen in daily life and also got knowledge of that birds. There were 150 people visited this exhibition.

Human Chain on World Sparrow Day-2017:

The World Sparrow Day was observed across the World on 20 March 2017. The day was created with an aim to raise awareness about the house sparrow and then other common birds to urban environments. The first World Sparrow Day was celebrated in 2010 across the World. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar organized Human Chain at Sardarnagar Bhavnagar. By this Human Chain We spread message not only  save sparrow but also save Extinction birds and animals to pedestrian, vehicles passed on road. There were 700 students participated in Human Chain

Celebration on World Forestry Day:

World Forestry Day or International Day of Forests is celebrated worldwide every year on 21st of March at the international level in order to increase the public awareness among communities about the values, significance and contributions of the forests to balance the life cycle on the earth. The Theme for 2017 is Forest & Energy. To Celebrate World Forestry Day Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar held on Our Energy friend- Forest programme for Primary School Students at Victoria Park, Bhavnagar. During the visit Our Expert Mr. Yashpal Vyas & Mr. Harsh Makwana gave information on usefulness of tress in our life as a medicine in Aayurveda. They also gave information that how could we identify different animals & birds. Afterwards students moved to visual lab where they show state level forestry day celebration live. There were 63 students & teachers got benefit from this programme.

Drawing Competition to Celebration World Water Day:

World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. Each year, World Water Day highlights a specific aspect of freshwater. This year's theme: Why waste water? In support of SDG 6.3 on improving water quality and reducing, treating and reusing wastewater. Kalyan Regional Community Science Centre, Bhavnagar held on drawing competition at Shri Chamaradi Primary School, Ta: Vallbhipur to celebrate World Water Day. KRCSC Provide A3 Size drawing sheet to the participant. Every participant has draw picture on their thoughts related to water waste Why? There were 164 students Chamaradi primary School was participated in this competition. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Winner from each group got prize respectively.
